Cholla had lost 13 matches at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-17 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Amphitheater Panthers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

As for Amphitheater, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

When it comes to explaining why Amphitheater lost, don't look at Isabella Espinoza. Despite the final result, she had eight aces and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Tuakalau, who had 14 kills, five blocks, and two aces.

Cholla didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Rio Rico on the 27th. Amphitheater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
