Basketball Recap: Grundy Center Finds Playoff Glory Versus Northeast

With a playoff win on the line, Grundy Center rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 71-62 win over the Northeast Rebels. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Grundy Center's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Northeast, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-4 record.

Grundy Center will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Unity Christian on March 11th. Unity Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 25 matchups -- so hopefully Grundy Center likes a good challenge. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
