Soccer Game Preview: Hopkins vs. Lumen Christi Catholic

The Hopkins Vikings will head out to challenge the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopkins knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Lumen Christi Catholic likes a good challenge.

Hopkins will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating NorthPointe Christian, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-3.

Meanwhile, Lumen Christi Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Garden City on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Hopkins is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those nine matches. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.
