Basketball Recap: Miami East Takes a Loss

Miami East lost against Russia back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miami East Vikings lost 64-41 to the Russia Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Raiders are ranked 21st).

Miami East has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Russia, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Miami East will head out on the road to challenge Troy Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Miami East surely won't give up without a fight. Russia has already played their next matchup (against Houston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
