League recap: Hendersonville Christian Academy climbs in standings with win

Tennessee Christian (8 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012

Hendersonville Christian Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Tennessee Christian (8 Man).

Macon Road Baptist took down St. Andrews-Sewanee 66-34 last week, the largest margin of any game. Josh Talley threw for three yards, ran for 273 yards and caught two passes for 48 yards in the win.

Macon Road Baptist's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wyatt Johnston threw for 132 and two touchdowns and Ben Henry had 49 yards receiving.

Aaron Austin made the biggest impact on defense this week as Randy Griffith's team topped the Mountain Lions. The freshman recorded one fumble.

Johnston has thrown for 422 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Henry has six catches for 147 yards. Ben Thorell leads the league in rushing with 842 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between South Haven Christian and the Crusaders. South Haven Christian comes into the matchup ranked seventh in the state, while Hendersonville Christian Academy ranks eighth.

Macon Road Baptist led Tennessee Christian (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 66 points on St. Andrews-Sewanee. Talley in the win.
