Baseball Recap: Duarte Find Success

Duarte won against Baldwin Park last Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Falcons came out on top against the Monrovia Wildcats by a score of 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Duarte's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Monrovia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duarte will welcome Dunn at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. The timing isn't great for the Falcons: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Earwigs have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Monrovia, they will host Capistrano Valley Christian at 3:15 p.m. on the 16th. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
