Basketball Recap: Royse City Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Royse City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Forney Jackrabbits 65-51 on Friday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 61-60 win the Jackrabbits walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

Royse City pushed their record up to 10-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Forney, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Royse City will venture away from home to take on Tyler Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tyler Legacy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Royse City likes a good challenge. Forney has already played their next contest (against Longview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
