Basketball Recap: Cumberland Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Cumberland won the last time they faced Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cumberland Pirates strolled past the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights with points to spare, taking the game 57-43.

Leading Cumberland to victory were Cameron Roedl and Zack Harmon. Roedl went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points along with seven assists and seven boards, while Harmon dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most points Harmon has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chase Stewart, who posted nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Cumberland was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond only racked up five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond lost, don't look at Kendall Schrock. Despite the final result, he had 11 points. Ryan Appleby was another key player, putting up five points.

Cumberland is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-17.
