Basketball Recap: Redfield Comes Up Short

Redfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Hamlin Chargers, falling 87-24. While losing is never fun, the Pheasants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Chargers are ranked fifth).

Redfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hamlin, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Redfield will head out on the road to face off against Sisseton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hamlin, they will square off against Rapid City Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Hamlin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
