Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Takes a Loss

Sierra Pacific and Sanger West squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sierra Pacific had to settle for second. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Golden Bears' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Anaya Zaragoza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Miranda Reyes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Sierra Pacific's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Sanger West, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-11-2.

Sierra Pacific does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sanger West, they will face off against Bakersfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
