Preview: Elida Tigers vs. Capitan Tigers        
        
		
            
 The Elida Tigers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Capitan Tigers at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
 Elida couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell victim to a  rough 23-9 loss at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent  on Wednesday.
  Hardy Fraze was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Fraze was even better at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Fraze wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Seth Jimenez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Capitan made easy work of Dora  on Friday and carried off  a  26-7 victory. The  win was just what Capitan needed coming off of  a  15-3 defeat in their prior  match.
 Like Elida, Capitan also got a great game from a two-way player:  Logan Ritter. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  3.2 innings while giving up  three earned runs off only  one  hit. Ritter was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing seven bases while  getting on base  in four of his eight plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Capitan got a  massive  performance out of  Aiden Smith, who  went 4-for-6 with six  stolen bases, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Jack Emerson-Betti, who  went 4-for-6 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and four  runs.
