Football Recap: Eastside Takes a Loss

If Eastside was feeling good fresh off their 38-6 takedown of Woodlan last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blazers took a 32-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Adams Central Flying Jets on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Blazers in their meetings with the Flying Jets: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Eastside still got an impressive performance from Job Richman, who rushed for 172 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 118 yards and one TD. Richman's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Adams Central, the victory was the 16th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Eastside will be playing in front of their home fans against West Noble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Adams Central, they will square off against Muncie Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
