Basketball Game Preview: Leetonia Bears vs. John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles

The Leetonia Bears will face off against the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leetonia has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 4.

Last Saturday, Leetonia came up short against McKinley and fell 28-20.

Meanwhile, after only 21 points in their last game, John F. Kennedy Catholic made sure to put some points up on the board against Lake Center Christian on Monday. John F. Kennedy Catholic blew past Lake Center Christian, posting a 70-38 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leetonia's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Leetonia was taken down by John F. Kennedy Catholic 67-12 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Leetonia was down 51-7.
