Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs vs. Camp Verde Cowboys

The Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Camp Verde Cowboys at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, Rancho Solano Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Arizona Lutheran Academy and fell 43-40. The Mustangs have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Nenah Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 8 for 15 en route to 21 points and six steals. Those six steals gave her a new career-high. Heidi Iancu was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camp Verde). They blew past Madison Highland Prep, posting a 75-21 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.

Camp Verde is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Rancho Solano Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
