Volleyball Recap: Catholic - N.I.'s Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Catholic - N.I. waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Ruston Bearcats by a score of 2-0. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Gracie Neck was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven aces and four digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Neck wasn't the only good server: Catholic - N.I. was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive games.

Catholic - N.I.'s win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ruston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic - N.I. will welcome Highland Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ruston, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Alexandria at 4:00 p.m. This will be the Bearcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
