Soccer Recap: Irvine Takes a Loss

Irvine lost to Northwood back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vaqueros took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves. While losing is never fun, Irvine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 834th, while Northwood are ranked 355th).

Irvine has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Northwood, their record now sits at 6-3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Irvine is set to take on their familiar foe University at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwood will square off against rival Laguna Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
