League recap: Brinkel races to league-leading run for Frontier

Frontier's Paul Brinkel recorded the longest rushing play in Section 6 AA this season in his game against Clarence last week. Brinkel's team topped the Red Devils as he sprinted for 64 yards on the play and finished with 76 in all.

Niagara Falls scaled the state rankings by moving to 245 from 283 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wolverines climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Jamestown 52-14.

The Red Raiders' dynamic duo of Jacob Sisson and Stephen Carlson proved to be unstoppable against Niagara Falls, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sisson threw for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns and Carlson had 74 yards receiving.

Cameron Coon was the best running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 176 yards as Frontier defeated Niagara Falls.

Coon provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Timothy Myslinski's team bested Clarence.

Sisson put up the best numbers in passing as the Red Raiders beat the Wolverines.

Carlson was the best receiver in Section 6 AA this week as Jamestown beat Niagara Falls.

The Red Raiders' Sisson and Carlson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Sisson has thrown for 143 yards this season, while Carlson has 7 catches for 74 yards. Coon from the Falcons leads the league in rushing with 176 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Orchard Park takes on second place Lockport.
