Baseball Recap: Estacado Comes Up Short

After flying high against Snyder last Thursday, Estacado came back down to earth. The Matadors fell just short of the Liberty Patriots by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Estacado's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15-1. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Estacado is set to take on their familiar foe Lake View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Liberty will square off against rival Big Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
