Soccer Recap: Canby Triumphs

Canby proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs, sneaking past 3-2. Canby have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, too.

Canby hit Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Braxton Nava, Isaiah Martinez, and Jose Zurita.

Canby's win bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Canby will take on rival Hood River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts is set to square off against their familiar foe Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
