Baseball Recap: Bartow Takes a Loss

Bartow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winter Haven Blue Devils. The Yellow Jackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Bartow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelan Elliott, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Elliott hit this season.

Bartow's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Winter Haven, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.

Coming up, Bartow will challenge Lakeland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dreadnaughts will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Yellow Jackets surely won't give up without a fight. Winter Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
