Germantown skates past Olive Branch with ease

The Germantown Mavericks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Olive Branch 77-43 on the road. The result was nothing new for Germantown, who have now won six matches by 25 points or more so far this season.

Germantown found their leader in underclassman Ayla Benson, who went 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists. That's the first time this season that Benson scored 15 or more points. Charlie Gamberine was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Germantown, bringing their record for this year to 8-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Olive Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Germantown is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Pearl at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Olive Branch will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Biloxi at 10:05 a.m. on January 6, 2024.
