Soccer Game Preview: Eden Christian Academy vs. Freedom Area

Eden Christian Academy will square off against the Freedom Area Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Eden Christian Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Freedom Area has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eden Christian Academy's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaver County Christian on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Eden Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 368th, while Beaver County Christian is ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four match, Freedom Area brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against South Side on Tuesday as they made off with a 5-1 victory. Freedom Area haven't had any issues with South Side recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Eden Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Freedom Area, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10-1.

Eden Christian Academy skirted past Freedom Area 3-2 when the teams last played back in September. Will Eden Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Freedom Area has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
