Recap: East Longmeadow Spartans vs. Pittsfield Generals
The East Longmeadow Spartans lost against the Pittsfield Generals back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. East Longmeadow took a serious blow against Pittsfield, falling 68-34. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Longmeadow in their matchups with Pittsfield: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pittsfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Stetz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dezerea Powell, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
East Longmeadow's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pittsfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Longmeadow will take on Chicopee Comp at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pittsfield, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Westfield at 7:00 p.m.
