Baseball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay lost against Rector back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-1. The Yellowjackets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Bay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Dacus, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Jacob Willard, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Bay's record is now 1-9. As for Rector, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bay is set to square off against their familiar foe Piggott at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rector will face off against rival Buffalo Island Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
