Baseball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Comes Up Short

Isle of Wight Academy was the 12-4 winner over Brunswick Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Friday.

Wyatt King made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

Isle of Wight Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Brunswick Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Coincidentally, Isle of Wight Academy and Brunswick Academy will both be playing Southampton Academy the next time they take the field. The Chargers will head out to face the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
