Football Game Preview: Jack Britt Buccaneers vs. Richmond Senior Raiders

The Jack Britt Buccaneers will head out to take on the Richmond Senior Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Jack Britt came up short against Pinecrest and fell 29-21. That's two games in a row now that the Buccaneers have lost by exactly eight points.

Despite the defeat, Jack Britt had strong showings from Gavin Stokes, who threw for 222 yards and three TDs, and Zykavion Harris, who picked up 71 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Richmond Senior had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed past the Trojans to the tune of 53-8. That 45 point margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Jack Britt and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Richmond Senior, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Jack Britt was taken down by Richmond Senior 54-14 when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Thankfully for the Buccaneers, Kellan Hood (who threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 68 yards and one score on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time.
