Basketball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Falls Despite Big Games from Jayde Kreifels and Neveah Vacha

After flying high against Boys Town on Thursday, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder came back down to earth. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder fell 50-38 to the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder of the 43-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Neveah Vacha, who posted 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Jayde Kreifels, who had seven points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. Vacha continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keegan Francis, who scored four points and five rebounds.

Bancroft-Rosalie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Makenna James, who put up four points in addition to 11 assists, six steals, and five boards. Those 11 assists gave James a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaya Snyder, who en route to 13 points.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has already played their next matchup, a 59-53 victory against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge on the 17th. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-31 win against Wynot on the 18th.
