Softball Preview: Park Hill Trojans vs. Park Hill South Panthers        
        
		
             Park Hill hasn't had much luck against Park Hill South recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Park Hill Trojans will venture away from home to  face off against the Park Hill South Panthers  at 4:00  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
 Park Hill will bounce into Monday's   match after  beating Central, who they hadn't topped in three consecutive meetings. Park Hill's pitcher stepped up to hand Central  a   15-0 shutout  on Thursday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Trojans who have now won four  contests in a row.
  Mandia Bock was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). Bock was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Allison Gonier was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Gonier is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   stolen at least one every time she's  taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was  Brynlee Johnson, who  scored three  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Park Hill  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .679. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile,  everything went Park Hill South's way against Smithville on Monday as Park Hill South made off with  a  14-7 win.
 Park Hill's victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Park Hill South, their record now sits at 2-7.
 Everything went Park Hill's way against Park Hill South in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023 as Park Hill made off with  an  11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Park Hill since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
