Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Madison

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Madison walked away with it. They skirted past the Bonita Vista Barons 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warhawks have posted since January 24th.

Runnar(rj) Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 11 boards. He is becoming a predictor of Madison's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 17-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Gleason, who posted 11 points.

Despite the loss, Bonita Vista still got an impressive performance from Aaron Owens, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds. The match was Owens' ninth in a row with at least 16 points. Jerry Stokes was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven boards.

The win was the fifth in a row for Madison, bringing their record for this year to 22-8. As for Bonita Vista, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-9.

Madison has already played their next contest, a 64-58 defeat against Olympian on the 26th. Bonita Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
