Softball Game Preview: Hixson Wildcats vs. Bradley Central Bears

The Hixson Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Bradley Central Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Hixson nor Bradley Central posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Hixson came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Cleveland, falling 8-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Bradley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Whitwell.

Lynlee Hodge was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Bradley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14-1. As for Hixson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Hixson couldn't quite get it done against Bradley Central when the teams last played back in March as they fell 4-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
