Rogue River had to endure  a  12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the St. Mary's Crusaders on Tuesday as they made off with  a  17-9 win. The Chieftains' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 K. Kewley and  S. Badley did most of the damage at the plate:  Kewley  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Badley  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  RBI were  Kewley's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Dustin Morton, who  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  runs and one  double.
 Rogue River  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .581. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Rogue River's  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for St. Mary's, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the  defeat, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
Rogue River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Crusaders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday.
