Basketball Recap: Webber Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Chloe King and Edyn Knight

Webber lost against Sandoval back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Webber Trojans fell 28-20 to the Sandoval Blackhawks.

Despite the defeat, Webber had strong showings from Edyn Knight, who posted six points along with nine rebounds and five steals, and Chloe King, who scored six points in addition to ten boards and seven steals. Knight is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Amiya Ray was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine boards for Sandoval.

Webber's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sandoval, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Webber has already played their next match, a 48-38 victory against Red Hill on the 15th. As for Sandoval, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-33 defeat against Woodlawn on the 15th.
