Laker is a perfect 4-0 against Marlette since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lakers will challenge the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Laker's defense has only allowed 10.1 points per game this season, so Marlette's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Laker is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They lost to Harbor Beach on the road by a 20-6 margin on Friday.

Meanwhile, Marlette came up short against Skyline on Friday and fell 29-22.

Marlette's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Laker, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Laker against Marlette in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 46-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
