Baseball Game Preview: Rudder Rangers vs. Brenham Cubs

For the second straight game, Rudder will face off against Brenham. The Rangers will head out on the road to square off against the Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Rudder has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Brenham will arrive with four straight wins.

Brenham hit Rudder with a seven-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rangers came up short against the Cubs, falling 11-5.

Austin Isom made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Gray, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Brenham pushed their record up to 19-9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rudder, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13-2.
