Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Legacy Charter Eagles

The Trinity Prep Saints are taking a road trip to square off against the Legacy Charter Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Prep has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Legacy Charter will come in with four straight victories.

Last Friday, Trinity Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Lyman and fell 59-56. While the Saints didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Greyhounds 21-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Legacy Charter strolled past Father Lopez with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 84-68. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Green Wave are ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Legacy Charter is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Trinity Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Trinity Prep was dealt a bruising 58-31 loss at the hands of Legacy Charter in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Legacy Charter's Khori Polarchy, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points and four steals.
