Basketball Recap: Kemp Takes a Loss

Kemp played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 57-29 loss at the hands of the Van Vandals. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-11.

Despite the defeat, Kemp had strong showings from Makayla Miller, who posted eight points, and Toni Hawkins, who scored four points and five rebounds.

Kemp is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Van, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Kemp will venture away from home to challenge Lindale at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van, they will welcome Athens at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
