Baseball Game Preview: Williams Valley Vikings vs. Panther Valley Panthers

The Williams Valley Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Panther Valley Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Williams Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Williams Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Weatherly with a sharp 22-3 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with Weatherly recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Williams Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Panther Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Jim Thorpe, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Olympians since April 16, 2016.

Panther Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Williams Valley, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
