It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ludlowe had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cheshire Rams and snuck past 3-2. The win was familiar territory for Ludlowe who now have eight in a row.
Alex Lewey spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 25 consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Ludlowe's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Foley, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
