Volleyball Recap: Taryn Musca Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Denmark

After losing to Denmark the last time they met, Harrison decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hoyas walked away with a 2-0 victory over Denmark on Tuesday.

Harrison easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21.

Harrison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taryn Musca led the charge by getting three digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Musca a new career-high in assists (16). Addison Cooley was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Despite the loss, Denmark saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leah Johnson had four digs and one block.

Harrison's record is now 7-5. As for Denmark, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Harrison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Wheeler on the 21st. As for Denmark, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Westminster on the 21st.
