West Vigo typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Edgewood proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 5-2. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

ALLY BLAND made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, ELLA SPROUL was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024.

The Eels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
