Recap: Bruce Trojans vs. Ingomar Falcons
After soaring to 64 points the game before, the Bruce Trojans were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 66-25 defeat at the hands of Ingomar. While losing is never fun, Bruce can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Falcons are ranked 13th).
Bruce struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Ingomar pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Macie Phifer was her usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Ingomar. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Jumper, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Bruce's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Ingomar, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-4.
Bruce will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ingomar, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
