Whitewater came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Fayette County Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Tigers back in August, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Whitewater had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 15-12.

Lailah Brown paced Whitewater's offense, picking up 12 kills. Brown got some help from Evie Higman and her 15 assists. Brown was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Whitewater's win bumped their record up to 17-5-1. As for Fayette County, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-15.
