Basketball Game Preview: Green vs. Chelsea Lions

After both having extra time off, Green and the Chelsea Lions will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Green and 12 for Chelsea dating back to last season.

Back in December of 2024, Green took a blow against Baruch College, falling 46-18. While losing is never fun, Green can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Baruch College is ranked 158th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-11, which was the final score in Chelsea's tilt against NEST+m back in December of 2024.

Green's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Chelsea, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-7.

Green strolled past Chelsea in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 47-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Green since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
