Volleyball Recap: Dracut Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dracut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tewksbury Memorial Redmen. The Middies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Redmen earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Dracut took Tewksbury Memorial into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-8, 25-20, 21-25, 15-8.

Leila Amiepouopouo paced Dracut's offense, picking up seven kills. Amiepouopouo got some help from Kelsey Hudon and her 17 assists. Hudon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Dracut's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Tewksbury Memorial, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Dracut has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lowell Catholic on the 6th. As for Tewksbury Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Lowell on the 6th.
