Volleyball Recap: Calhoun County Comes Up Short

Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mitchell County Eagles. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-14 in the first set.

Calhoun County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-15, 15-6.

Calhoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Mitchell County, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Calhoun County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Baker County on the 30th. As for Mitchell County, they will take on Westover at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
