The Riverside Rams will challenge the Deer Park Stags at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Riverside made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lakeside, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Eagles back in March. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Makenna Distad made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Distad was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Kaylee Winterroth was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Winterroth is crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Potter, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
Riverside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Deer Park strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Colville as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Stags, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Hailey Thompson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 11 hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sammy Fausti, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Meyers, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Deer Park, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .427. However, it's not like Deer Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .476. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
