It was a proper cat-fight when Malone challenged Houston County on Friday. The Malone Tigers breezed by the Houston County Lions to the tune of 71-38. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.

Malone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Welch, who posted 19 points. Hoke Harkrider was another key player, going 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Malone and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Houston County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Malone will host Seminole County at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th. Malone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season. As for Houston County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Geneva County at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
