Sipes Came Up Big in Fredericktown's 31-0 Win

Starting off the list is Fredericktown's Blake Sipes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sipes rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 95 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes.

On the season, Sipes has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 99.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 94.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 142 rushing yards.

Danville's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Burke and Danville will square off against Fredericktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Joshua Byers Makes It Two for Danville

Another Danville player making an appearance on this list is Joshua Byers. He picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made 13 total tackles.

Cowin Becker's big game helped extend Northmor's winning streak to eight on Friday. Becker was unstoppable, picking up 43 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 61 yards.

Northmor pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Becker and Northmor will face off against Cardington-Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Caleb Lucas Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Danville got the W thanks in part to Caleb Lucas playing the best football he has all season. Lucas picked up a sack, made 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass.

Centerburg had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Lucas it was a similar story. When Lucas last faced the Trojans back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
