Ohio High School Football Rankings

Who's up and who's down

There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. That and more in this week's report.

Can't Touch This

Anthony Wayne's 38 - 14 win over Springfield last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Ezra Scott. Scott rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns. That performance landed Scott among the top power-ranked players for the week.

Movin on Up

Reynoldsburg was heavily favored to win coming into its game last week, and the results showcase why. It had all the answers against Lancaster, winning 28 - 7. No one had a larger role in the success than junior Mike Whatley, who brought his A game into the contest. He tossed the ball for 261 yards and one TD. The success catapulted Reynoldsburg seven spots up the power rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.

No Stoppin 'Em

76. That was the combined point total for Wayne and Trotwood-Madison when they went head to head last week, and it set the benchmark for all power ranking teams. Wayne battled it out with Trotwood-Madison for a well-earned 41 - 35 overtime win. Wayne saw its record improve to 7-3 and its power rank jump five places as a result.

Next Week's Big Game

The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Hilliard Bradley (16th in the power rankings) and Pickerington Central (12th). The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both Hilliard Bradley and Pickerington Central put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they play one another this week.
