Softball Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short

St. Paul suffered their closest loss since April 20, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Saint Joseph Jesters by a score of 5-3. The Swordsmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jesters earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Daina Munoz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kailee Mejia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Paul now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Saint Joseph, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

St. Paul will square off against El Rancho at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Saint Joseph will be paying especially close attention to the Swordsmen's match: after the Swordsmen faces off against the Dons, they'll take on Saint Joseph again at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
